Description
Warrior III is a balancing pose that forms a T-shape with the body: the standing leg rooted firmly and the opposite leg and torso extending parallel to the ground. This pose powerfully strengthens the standing leg’s thigh, glute, and ankle while engaging the core and back muscles to maintain a level torso. At the same time, it gently stretches the hamstrings of the lifted leg as it reaches back, and requires focus and balance to keep the body aligned.
