Description
Headstand (Sirsasana) inverts the body and requires strong engagement of the shoulders, arms, and core to stabilize the balance upside down. The pose strengthens the upper body and deep core muscles while decompressing the spine; the legs stay active (with quads and glutes engaged) to maintain a straight vertical alignment, and the inversion provides gentle traction through the neck and spine when performed with proper support. Headstand, use variations for different arm placements.
