Description
Camel Pose (Ustrasana) is a deep kneeling backbend that opens the entire front body. It stretches the hip flexors and quads as the hips press forward, and intensely opens the chest and shoulders as the spine arches back. The erector spinae (back muscles) along with the glutes and hamstrings engage to support and control the backbend, preventing compression in the lower back as the head and shoulders reach toward the feet.
